Bursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra (BBDSO) kicks off the 2018-2019 season with a concert to be held on Thursday, October 4. Gülsin Onay, a pianist and a state artist, will perform the works of Rossini, Grieg, Verdi and Tchaikovsky to music fans in Bursa during the concert to be conducted by Dağhan Doğu, the full-time conductor of the orchestra.
Bursa Regional State Symphony Orchestra (BBDSO) continues to introduce classical music to a vast audience with support from Bursa Philharmonic Society under the sponsorship of Uludağ Premium. BBDSO kicks off the 2018-2019 season, which is highly anticipated by people of Bursa, with an opening concert on Thursday, October 4. Dağhan Doğu, the full-time conductor of BBDSO, will conduct the concert, during which various works by most significant composers of the 19th century including Gioacchino Rossini, Edvard Grieg, Giuseppe Verdi and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, will be performed. Making Turkey proud throughout her career, pianist and state artist Gülsin Onay brings these works into life.
The concert to be held at Bursa Merinos Atatürk Congress and Culture Center will begin with the "The Thieving Magpie Overture" by the Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini. "The Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16" and "Triumphal March" will follow and the concert will end with "1812 Overture" by the Russian composer Tchaikovsky.
